Local Culture
The area around the hotel is predominantly inhabited by the Berber people who make up 90% of the work force at Kasbah Tamadot. The Berber language, Tamazight, has gradually evolved into over thirty languages and hundreds of dialects, but many Berbers also speak French, English, or both. If you'd like to give a few Berber words a try, we suggest: Walaikum salam, the traditional "hello"; Tanmmirt - "thank you", and Atay nlikmt - "mint tea"
Morocco is a Muslim country therefore we would recommend women avoid wearing revealing attire if they wish to observe local custom.
Take a piece of Morocco home with you and purchase some of the arts and crafts made by the locals in the Virgin Unite shop.
